I am cognizant of the actuality that I have great potential in being able to change the lives of others. I intend to maximize the amount of lives I can aid by assisting in any and all kinds of matters using my strong assertiveness and acceptance of others. My experience as a social worker has instilled within myself a love for humanity. This has formulated me into the human being I am today, making me strive for excellence in everything that I do. I have been ridiculed for having “unrealistic” goals numerous times. As time has passed, however, I have learned to embrace the way other people underestimate me and have turned their attitudes into determination. I have been raised to always succeed in whatever endeavor I take. If failure is the resultant, then I have been taught to pick myself up and try again. My long-term goals are a road not taken by many, but the only way I will be able to accomplish my long-term goals is by finalizing my short-term goals.

As I grow older and more experienced, confidence in my goals does as well. My contribution to society will be saving other people’s lives. I am aware that I will be dealing first-hand with others facing an incredibly hard journey; it is my goal to commit myself to exhausting every method of easing the same pain my family has suffered. I want to pursue such a career so that other families do not have to experience what I experienced: suffering the loss of someone. In accomplishing my long-term goal as a nursing case manager, I hope to make progress towards improving the lives of others when they are experiencing their most trying times. I am willing to speak up and instigate a change. When I was young, my father taught me to believe in myself and that no goal was unattainable. Because of him, I know that I can set a whole different standard of living in my international community.
