Change Agent and Guiding Team

Discuss the importance of a change agent and a guiding team. What is the purpose of each, and what traits make them successful? I live in el Paso, Texas I work in a Managed Care organization. A change agent is an individual either from inside or outside the organization helping the organization achieve an intended and desirable outcome. Change agents represent the expected change. On the other hand, a guiding team is a group of people entrusted with the responsibility of spearheading the developmental process that is expected to undertake a transformation (Driskell et al., 2017).

Change agents have seven key roles. First, a change agent investigates the need for change then advocates for the difference. They encourage people to adopt the change while he facilitates the process. After that, he mediates the change process and advice where necessary. Finally, he owns and manages the whole process. According to Driskell et al. (2017), the qualities of a right agent are; being knowledgeable, flexible, a good communicator and determined.Change Agent and Guiding Team

Warwick, (2016) defines a guiding team as a group of people whose role is to; direct the process of attaining the desirable change. This team has the responsibility of the planning, organizing, coordinating, informed decision making and guided all the necessary steps in achieving progress. They write reports which may be used for reference and continuous evaluation. Qualities of an excellent guiding team include good communication, good leadership, unity and goal-oriented.

Conclusion

Change agents and guiding team perform similar roles at every time. The difference is that the guiding is a group of people which may differ since a change can be one representative. However, their responsibilities are geared towards planning and successfully implementing the desired change. Such personnel improve the general performance of the organization by proving an opportunity to enhance their productivity.
