The health policy chosen is the H.R Bill 5551 ‘Ensuring Child Health Coverage Compensation in Divorce Act of 2020″. The Senate and the House of Representatives of the United States passed this legislation. I chose this health policy as it addresses the issue of assuring children’s medical coverage recompense in the event of marriage dissolution. It makes an effort to establish a noncustodial parent, which may include a stepparent. The policy stipulates that the insurance provider must enable a kid to get benefits via this scheme and, therefore, must give the custodial parent any details that could be required for the child to receive benefits (Congress.gov, n.d). The second goal of this legislation is to allow custodial parents to issue requests for eligible treatments without the permission of either parent, as well as to deliver payments exclusively to the custodial parent.

In several cases, policy theories investigate the ramifications of two fundamental perspectives: that policymakers are constrained by limited rationality and that they must share power among a large number of individuals in a dynamic policymaking system (Oliver & Pearce, 2017). There is evidence to back up the proposed policy, in my opinion, since a large number of noncustodial parents do not assume the obligation of financing their children’s medical bills. I find myself thinking about and identifying individuals within the target audience who could be the most open to the legislation they are attempting to adopt after reviewing this particular healthcare bill in its entirety. In addition, it has been drawn to my understanding that it is critical to understand at what tier of government this matter is being dealt with. Typically, divorced parents include their children on every insurance program in order to optimize their benefits and guarantee that their kids are insured. However, this is not the case in every instance. In other cases, parents get divorced, and the kids are left without medical coverage because the noncustodial parents intend to steer away from their obligations. It is a basic right for children of divorced parents to have medical coverage as they grow up Evidence Base in Design Essay Assignment Paper
