Various formal leadership theories were developed to guide the nurses in their practices and behaviors in healthcare organizations. In another example, healthcare organizations’ leaders use the democratic leadership style to encourage the subordinates to give their input when making critical decisions in the organization. This leadership style is beneficial to the organization. It allows employees to share their views, thus enabling the leader to make the best decision (Günzel-Jensen et al., 2018). Additionally, employees are motivated once they are involved in making significant decisions in the organization. Such employees tend to give the best services to the clients, which results in improved patient satisfaction and experience. In turn, satisfied customers tend to seek services from the healthcare organization in the future and give referrals.
