The first part describes that the poor quality of healthcare industry with respect to the shortages of nurses. Health care comprises of several treatments for multiple illness and some concentrated treatment procedures (Casalino, et.al., 2008). Complex problems include those patients, who frequently have unusual presentations and vary ethnically in their predilections. Several medical inaccuracies are outcomes of inadequately designed methods for care or failed process arraying from dysfunctional staff and poor coordination and communication to uncertain norms and processes and short of responsibility. The second part emphasizes on the impact of nursing shortage on the Government of the United States of America. Several factors and researches have highlighted the shortage of nurses as the pessimistic concern for the US government. During the past history, the USA has faced a sequence of nursing shortages. The qualitative approach selected as an appropriate choice for this research proposal, because it provides a holistic picture of the phenomenon that actually there is a nursing shortage in the United States, rather than just considering the statistics related to current nursing workforce and future forecasts. The qualitative studies are usually judge for the conformability, transferability, dependability, and credibility. One benefit of using the qualitative research design is that it helps in highlighting the viewpoint of the researcher during the study process along with process of analysis, data collection, and interpretation. A major viewpoint highlighted through this approach is that nursing instructors are paid less wages and benefits. They are paid not more than $30,000 yearly, which is less than their clinician counterparts. Thus benefit and wage equivalence should be initiated into nursing academia in a way to reduce nursing school waiting lists, improve nursing school enrollments, and enhance a growing shortage of nursing instructors. It is relatively obvious that problem itself is continuous, and can no longer be overlooked (McDonald, 2004). Although this problem is indirectly related to nursing shortages, however it impacts directly on the health care industry of the US.
