The chart portrays organizations in different ways. In particular, it depicts the leadership structure adopted by the organization. This discussion will focus on the organizational structure represented by the chart. It will also include the opinion of the preferred structure.
The chart depicts that the organization has adopted a team-based organizational structure. Employees are grouped depending on their duties and responsibilities in the organization (Bazirjian & Stanley, 2001). A team organizational structure enhances the cooperation of employees (Longest et al., 2000). Additionally, it allows the staff to have more control over their activities. Therefore, this structure enables the workers to focus on problem-solving and customer satisfaction. I feel that the depiction is accurate. Staff performing related tasks in the organization are grouped in one department and service line. They are assigned ahead who they report to. On the other hand, the leaders and provides guidance and direction to workers in their respective departments. I prefer this structure since it accrues various benefits to the organization. This organizational structure promotes a growth mindset, thus increasing productivity and profit margin. This structure also replaces traditional career models by enabling the employees to move laterally (Longest et al., 2000). It also values the experience, skills, and knowledge of the employees rather than seniority. Finally, minimal management is required, thus saving time and resources.
