In addition, it is important to avoid bug bites as a way of preventing chikungunya, Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever, dengue, and leishmaniasis. Besides that, it is important to have protection against airborne and droplet diseases to include avian/bird flu, hantavirus, and tuberculosis (TB).

The vector borne diseases relevant to China are chikungunya and dengue caused by mosquito bite, leishmaniasis caused by sand fly bite, and Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever caused by tick bite and touching body fluids of infected persons and animals.
