Pulmonary, Cardiac, Peripheral Vascular and Lymphatic Systems

Complete a 250-350-word reflection of what you have learned during this topic. Include the following in your reflection:

Think about an experience you\’ve encountered when viewing or completing the particular assessment.

Discuss difficulties that could potentially arise or specific questions related to completing this type of assessment.

Include illustrative examples of potential strategies used to overcome the difficulties encountered when completing (the particular) assessment. Pulmonary, Cardiac, Peripheral Vascular and Lymphatic Systems

Describe how the Christian worldview and compassion for all plays a role in this type of assessment.

APA style is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.

This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

Personal Experience

I had a tough experience when completing the assessment on the peripheral nervous systems, especially indicating the connectivity and coordination of the nerves and ganglia in the external part of the brain and spinal cord. I could clearly understand the peripheral nervous systems consist of two systems, the somatic and autonomic nervous systems (Bougea et al., 2015). However, it was challenging to reconnect their efferent and afferent components and their mode of coordinated operations.  For instance, it was difficult to comprehend the way the two mentioned systems communicate with each other without failing and enables the body parts to send the right signals to the central nervous systems.

With such confusion and uncertainty, the completion of this type of assessment would initiate the rise of several questions. These questions seek to create clarity, especially through expounding and explaining any involved aspects. One of the main questions would be whether there is any possibility for the somatic and autonomic nervous systems failing, how such a failure manifests itself.   Another question would tend to explore the outcome and effects of such failure to the body organs, the central nervous systems, brain, communication, and sending of signals. These questions would create clarity on the functionality of the peripheral nervous systems.

However, a potential strategy for successfully completing the peripheral nervous systems-related assessment would be the use of drawings and charts. Drawing and charts are visual elements, which will more often enable learners and readers to clearly understand and comprehend certain aspects within a short time (Shabiralyani et al., 2015). Similarly, the application of drawing and charts would enable any nursing learner to effectively understand the peripheral nervous system, its components, and functionality. Despite such, it is worth noting that the incorporation of a Christian worldview is likely to deter a successful understanding of the said system. More often, the Christian perspective of one’s body differs with the scientific one, with the latter basing most of its explanations on scientific research and experiments of one’s body comprising of numerous parts and varying systems.  Thus, the inclusion of Christian worldwide in the learning of the peripheral nervous system would impede its proper understanding, considering the Christian perspective conflicts with the scientific one.
